A lot of stats in EraTW works with the "Gems system". Most of the "H abilities" (except Servitude), Sensitivities and the mark system work this way.

This system isn't especially hard to understand, but it can be confusing for a new player.

It is composed of SOURCE, Parameters (Palam), Parameter Levels (PalamLV), and gems (Juel).

Here, you can see that Reimu has no PALAM, nor PALAMLV, meaning that she hasn't been interacted at all during this session.

SOURCE values are points that NPCs gains each time you have an interaction with them. These are what you see at the top of every interaction.

Here, we can see that Reimu has gotten 300 Joy SOURCE, which will be converted into Care PALAMs.

SOURCE values are reset after each action.

Parameters (PALAM)[edit]

SOURCE values are then put through multiple equations to then be converted into PALAMs The type and number of PALAM gained depends on the interaction done, and its context.

E.g.: Some sexual harassment commands will make the character gain Hostility PALAM (among others), but if your relationship with them is developed enough, the gain will be decreased, to a point where it could be nearly nonexistent.

You will see how much PALAM a character has gained at the end of the action:

At the bottom of the screen, you can see that Reimu gained 255 Care PALAMs, as well as others, after taking to her once.

The amount of PALAM a character has can be seen on the right of each blue bar.

Palam are reset after each day.

PALAM Levels (PALAMLV)[edit]

When a character gains enough PALAM, they will gain a "PALAM Level". You can visualize how far a character is from gaining a new level of Palam thanks to the blue bars. You can also see their current level of Palam thanks to "Lv x" next to the name of the Palam concerned.

Here, you can see that Reimu now has one level of the "Care" Palam. If you look next to the blue bar, you can see that her number of Palam is 255.

PALAMLVs are reset after each day.

Gems (JUEL)[edit]

When a character gains a level of Palam, they will also gain a number of "Gems".

These gems are how the stats mentioned earlier will gain levels themselves. Therefore, it's not worth it to try to get more PALAMs if the PALAMLV of that type is at the max (15), since you won't be getting any more PALAMLVs, and therefore no more gems.

Gems will be actually counted after the player go to sleep. If the character has enough of a particular gem, they will gain a level in the concerned stat.

E.g. : with enough "Favor" gems gained by increasing the level of "Care" Palam, the level of "Intimacy" of the character will be increased after the player has gone to sleep.

Gems doesn't reset after each day. They're instead added to the character, and define if they will gain a level in the concerned stat.

E.g.: if a character gains 75 gems of Favor on day 1 and 110 on day 2, they will have 185 when day 3 will start.
