Health in TW Omogatari uses a Hediff system much like Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld. Each wound is unique as it's given a damage type, severity, and tags that show where it came from.
Each injury affects a different part of the characters' well being, and can be found under a character's Health tab.
=Injury=
Different weapons cause different types of injuries. For example, a mace will crush, a longsword will cut, and fire will burn. The type of injury impacts the amount of pain it causes, the rate of bleeding, and the chance of infection

==Bleeding==
Bleeding is a common occurance from certain damage types. While an injury is bleeding, pawns will gain blood loss, scaling with the wound and amount of wounds.

A character has it's blood capacity equal to it's max stamina

Characters can recover 2880ml of blood per day (120ml/hour). A bleed is equal to 60 ml/hour. This means a character can have 2 stacks of bleed without having a risk of dying of blood loss. 1 bleed expire every 60 minutes on all hediffs which are bleeding. Bandaged wounds will never leak blood

If a character has no more blood, she will instantly die. Kills are credited to those who fought the 2hu last

Gunshots, tearing, and cuts do bleeds every 400 points of damage

Burns and acid bleed every 300 points

Since gunshots target multiple body parts, you can have 12 stacks of bleeding on all 3 parts of a leg

=Medical actions=

==Healing==

You can heal a character or yourself by using the command "Doctor[988]".

Using it will open a menu where you will be able to choose what kind of medicine you want to use and which wound you want you want to treat.

There are 5 types of medicine, classed from the worst to the best :

-no medicine : actually not a type of medicine, it permits you to treat wounds even if you have nothing on you to do so. The result will be mediocre at best, even for good doctors, but it's better than nothing.

-medicinal herb : not much to say, it's much better than using air and imagination, and you can find them while foraging.

-high quality medicinal herb : same as medicinal herb, but it's better. It's the same rarity level as the normal ones, so it shouldn't be a problem to find them while foraging too.

-special medicine herb : better than high quality ones, harder to find too. As intermediate level item, you will need some skill at foraging to find some.

-modern medkit : you guess it, it's better than any herb you can find. You can't find it while foraging in most areas, although it can be found somewhere in Makai.
You can craft it if you're at least level 8 at crafting.

-Gensou-chan medicine : the most advanced you can get. It's also extremely hard to get.

Aside from what you use, effect of the tending will be also depending on your medical skill.
Tended wounds will start to heal with time and will immediately stop bleeding.

There's two other things you can use : bandage and surgery.

Bandage can hide a wound and stop the bleeding of it. It will not help heal it.

Surgery, as its name indicates, will permit you to harvest and replace organs, either yours or those of the character you're targeting.

To heal yourself (only), you can also go see Eirin, ask her a medical examination and tell her you need medical help. Be aware that she will keep you 3 days.
She will replace any of your completely destroyed organs and limbs by natural ones with Yagokoro Enhancement, actually upgrading you while regenerating you.
Although this service is not free, you will have to pay \50000 to be treated.

==Surgery==

To get access to surgery, you will need to buy the Field Surgery Kit on "genbu.co.jp". You will obviously need the computer to do so.

Surgery will let you harvest most of the organs that are actually harvestable, like limb, vital organs, etc... and bionic enhancements.
Be aware that harvesting the liver or the heart of a living char. will instantly kill them, no matter their species. Same thing happens if you harvest both of their lungs or kidneys.
Success in harvesting depends on your medical skill, manipulation and sight rates. If it fails, the concerned organ will be damaged.

Surgery will allow you to replace organs, by either natural or bionics counterparts. You will also be able to add some bionic or/and magic improvements.

Weirdly enough, you can change your own heart and your own liver without any risks or negative effects on your health.

To replace an organ, directly click on "Install bionic" or "Install natural replacement".

Bionic organs will either help an amputed character to recover some of the organ function (peg and prosthetic limbs) or replace a healthy organ to improve its functions.

E.g. : replacing a natural leg by a bionic or Gensou-chan leg and/or applying a Yagokoro enancement on the leg will improve character's moving rate.

Some magical enhancements allow to improve even more your organs' (natural or not) functions. (like Yagokoro enhancements)

There are also multiple bionics enhancements that will help you learn faster, reduce or nullify pain, improve fertility, etc...

You can create multiple types of artificial organs and limbs with the mixing table.
In order of efficiency : peg<prosthetic<(natural)<bionic<Gensou-chan.
As mentioned earlier, you can get Yagokoro enhancements by being treated by Eirin while missing some organs. Put on natural organs, you gain as much as you would from installing bionic parts.

Keep in mind that natural organs and their counterparts are worth a lot, even in Gensokyo.

==Resurrection==

In case your waifu dies, no need to panic, you can bring her back ! ('''as long as you didn't put "Permanent death" when starting the game''')

There are several methods to do so :

-bringing them to Eirin : if you bring the corpse to one of the member of Eintei (don't forget to be discreet, or you're gonna be seen as a murderer), they will bring the death character to Eirin , who will resurrect them.
Unfortunately, if the character is not liked by them (e.g. Satori, that nobody likes) they will not bring them to Eirin, and instead spit on them.

-asking Seiga with a financial "donation" : if the corpse hasn't been disposed of by Aya (by finding it and ending the day), Rin or Komachi, you can ask Seiga to resurrect a dead character. It will not be free however, and if you're not ready to put the fair price, the reanimated character can be a bit... deteriorated.

-using the Elixir on them : once you hit the level 11 at crafting, you will be able to craft an item called "Elixir". Using it will have a lot of wonderful effects on the char targeted, but if targeting a lifeless body, it will bring the char back to life.

-wait the end of the day : for characters that aren't supposed to be able to die, like gods, fairies and such, if they end up "killed", they will come back the day after their death. That is on the default setting at least.
If you put it to allow everyone to respawn, you will only have to wait a day for everyone.
If you put it on "no respawn", even gods will need to be brought back with the Elixir, Eirin or Seiga.

Resurrected characters will have all of their destroyed limbs and organs regrown. If the Elixir is used, their shiny new organs will also get Yagokoro enhancement.
=Paranoia=
Paranoia determines the preparation and willingness for the characters in NAS to attack the player on their own. Higher stages of paranoia mean more frequent raids, characters wearing armor, and genuinely a harder time making relationships

Paranoia has five stages:

Conspicuous = 10000 points

Suspicious = 30000 points

Paranoid = 60000 points

Hated = 100000 points

Hunted = 150000 points

Vilified = 250000 points

Each warning talisman adds 35000 points, every Touhou that knows you can stop time adds 2500 points, death adds a dependent amount of points, but no name characters usually give 1000 points. Paranoia is only increased when you kill the Touhou, being killed by another Touhou will not increase paranoia unless you switch to them, and any natural cause of death will not cause any paranoia. Bodies will have to be found by Aya to get paranoia this way.

These characters give a very high amount of paranoia when they're killed (over 20K):

{| class="wikitable" style="margin:left"
